How Summit keeps a lawn honest
Most lawn services start strong and drift by the second season — a different crew each week, a mow height that creeps up, edges that stop getting trimmed. Summit runs it the opposite way: one experienced crew on your property to the same standard all year, and an owner you can actually reach when something looks off.
West-of-the-Cascades turf has its own rules. Our wet, mild winters grow moss faster than grass, and cool-season blends — ryegrass and fescue — want a taller cut and a feeding rhythm built around the rain, not a national lawn-care script. We mow high enough to shade out weeds, sharpen the details at the edges, and stay ahead of moss and thatch instead of chasing them.
If your goal is a green lawn with almost no upkeep, ask about synthetic turf — we install it too, and for the right yard it ends the mowing entirely. Either way, the lawn ties into the rest of the property, so the same crew that mows can prune the beds and refresh the mulch on the same visit.
