What we plant & design
Planting is where a property stops looking maintained and starts looking designed. Summit handles it end to end:

Right plant, right place — and we maintain it
The Pacific Northwest is a generous place to garden and an easy place to get it wrong. Sun and shade, wet winters and dry Augusts, clay and fill — the same plant thrives in one corner and sulks ten feet away. Summit designs around those realities, leaning on natives and proven performers that actually want to live here, and placing them for their mature size so a bed reads as full at year three instead of crowded or bare.
Good soil prep does the quiet work. We amend and prepare beds before anything goes in the ground, mulch to hold moisture and knock back weeds, and stage privacy screens like arborvitae so they grow together into a real wall rather than a row of gaps.
Because we also maintain what we install, the design is made to be kept — pruning schedules, bed care and irrigation all considered up front. And planting coordinates with the rest of the property, so new beds, hardscape and lawn are planned as one yard, not three separate visits that don't quite line up.

Summit works primarily across the South Sound and greater Pierce County — from Tacoma's north end through University Place, Fircrest and Lakewood, out to Puyallup and Sumner, and across the Narrows to Gig Harbor.
That's our home base, but we're not rigid about the map. When a customer needs us beyond our usual footprint, we're able to expand outside the area to help.
